Faculty Senate Resolution: Recognition of Service to the UA Community by the University Medical Center and Student Health Center

Whereas, Throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic, University Medical Center and Student Health Center doctors, nurses and staff members have tirelessly worked to continue to provide the extraordinarily high level of care that University of Alabama faculty, staff, and students have come to depend on; and

Whereas, Employees of the UMC and SHC provided this care while also keeping UA employees and its other patients safe; and

Whereas, Despite the danger these front-line health care workers faced every day, they demonstrated unparalleled bravery and commitment; and

Whereas, UMC staff members have worked efficiently and professionally to vaccinate members of the UA Community during weekend hours:

Therefore Be It Resolved, That The University of Alabama Faculty Senate hereby recognizes, applauds and expresses its deep appreciation for the heroic contributions of the doctors, nurses, and staff members of the University Medical Center and Student Health Center to The University of Alabama Community.
